Arcos

Built for the trade you are in

Arcos builds websites for home service businesses, sets up their Google Business Profile and replies to every web inquiry and missed call. Each trade gets its own Google category, service pages and form questions: a tow call and a patio quote need different answers.

A search for a concrete contractor, the site that comes up, and the estimate request it takes.

Trades with a page of their own

  • ConcreteEstimate requests with square footage, tear-out and timing already answered.
  • CleaningHome quotes by bedrooms and bathrooms, office quotes by square footage.
  • Towing and junk carsEvery missed call gets a text back with your business name.
  • Fence and deckFence requests arrive with linear feet and gates, deck requests with size.

Other trades we build for

Every one of these except gutters and masonry is on Google's US Local Services Ads list.

  • RoofingRoofing contractor. Add Gutter service only if you install gutters.
  • Tree serviceTree service. Stump grinding is a service, not a category.
  • HandymanGoogle's exact label is Handyman/Handywoman/Handyperson.
  • PaintingPainter and Painting are both Google categories. Use one of them as the primary.
  • HVACHVAC contractor, with separate categories for air conditioning and heating.
  • GuttersInstallers use Gutter service, and clean-only crews use Gutter cleaning service.
  • ElectricalElectrician. EV charger installs have a category of their own.
  • PlumbingPlumber. Local Services Ads for drain experts run only in California and Florida.
  • MasonryMasonry contractor, with Bricklayer and Chimney services beside it.
  • Pest controlPest control service. Termite and mosquito work are services, not categories.
  • MovingMoving service. Piano moving has a category of its own.
  • Pool serviceWeekly routes use Pool cleaning service, and equipment work uses Swimming pool repair service.
  • Garage doorsGarage door supplier is the closest fit, because Google has no garage door repair category.
  • Window cleaningWindow cleaning service, separate from Window installation service.
  • Snow removalSnow removal service is its own category, so a landscaper who plows adds it as a second one.
A nearby search, the map results, and a profile with every field filled in.

Questions

Which Google category should my business pick?

The most specific one that names your main work. Google asks for as few categories as possible, as specific as possible, and the category decides which services Google suggests for your profile.

Can my trade run Local Services Ads?

Google publishes the list of US trades that can. Junk removal, lawn care, house cleaning, towing and fencing are on it. Concrete, pressure washing, deck building, gutters, masonry and janitorial work are not, so those trades use Google Ads instead.

Is it the same website for every trade?

No. The template is shared, but each trade gets its own services, wording and form questions, and its own Google category. A junk removal form asks about the load; a landscaping form asks about the yard.

My trade is not listed. Can you still build for it?

Yes. Arcos builds for US trades and local service businesses beyond this list. Pick Something else in the form and name your trade.
