Google Local Services Ads, set up and managed
Arcos sets up Local Services Ads in your name, for trades Google accepts, and runs them. They put your business in a prominent spot in Google Search, and you pay per lead, not per click. Part of the Arcos Ecosystem, quoted on a call.
What Local Services Ads are
They show when someone nearby searches for your service. The customer calls you, messages you or books straight from the ad.
You pay for each valid lead, not for clicks. Google does not charge for leads it judges invalid, and can credit ones it later finds were low quality. Businesses that pass Google's checks carry the Google Verified badge.
Google ranks the ads partly on your rating, how many reviews you have and how responsive you are. Its help page says missed calls may count against you. Review requests help with the first two.
What you own and what you pay
The Local Services account is in your name. Google bills your card through Google Ads, against a weekly budget you set, and the money never passes through us. Google caps a month at that weekly budget times the average number of weeks in a month. You give us access to the account and can remove it any time.
From August 2026 Google is moving these ads into Google Ads in phases, as campaigns still paid per lead, with daily budgets in place of weekly ones.
What a lead costs
There is no fixed price. Google says lead prices vary with your location, the job and the type of lead. One contractor dataset gives a sense of the range:
| Trade | Average cost per lead |
|---|---|
| Electrical | $39 |
| HVAC | $51 |
| Plumbing | $57 |
| All 888 contractors | $53 |
It does not break out junk removal, cleaning or towing, so read SearchLight's numbers as a rough guide.

Questions
Is my trade eligible?
Yes, if it is on Google's list above and Google runs Local Services Ads in your area. The list changes, so we confirm your exact category and area on the call. The details by trade: junk removal, cleaning, towing.
Do you take a cut of ad spend?
No. The budget goes from your card to Google and never passes through us. What you pay Arcos is agreed separately and does not change when your budget does.
What does management cost?
It depends which pieces you run together and how much work you want coming in, so it is quoted on the call. The price is agreed in writing before any work starts.
How is it different from Google Ads?
Local Services Ads charge per lead and show your profile, reviews and badge. Google Ads charge per click, send people to your website and are open to any trade. If your trade is on the list, the two can run side by side.
What does Google check first?
It depends on your trade and state. The checks can include a background check on the business, the owner and field workers, license and insurance checks, business registration and a minimum number of reviews. There is no credit check, and Google does not charge for the background check. Your Google Business Profile has to be connected and verified too.
